My client, a large international company, is looking for an experienced individual to join their busy IT team in Northampton. You will be responsible for the following activities:
- 3rd level support for all core servers
- Monitor and report systems performance
- Recommend systems upgrades if needed
- Ensure core applications and servers are available, secure and resilient
- Assist with specification, procurement, testing and installation of equipment for data centres
You are the right candidate if you have the following skills:
- comprehensive knowledge of MS Windows (all current versions) including Active Directory, DHCP, DNS, WINS, login scripts and group policies
- Ability to build, monitor and troubleshoot MS Windows (essential) and Linux (desirable) operating systems
- Knowledge of TCP/IP networking
- Knowledge of web technologies, firewalls and general internet security desirable
